Substances with the following hazardous properties may be identified as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs):
Examples of the latter category are substances having strong respiratory and sensitizing properties, also having a serious effect on the environment, or having endocrine disrupting properties.
The legal obligations that companies may have, resulting from the inclusion of substances in the Candidate List, apply to the listed substances on their own, in mixtures, or in articles. Producers and importers of articles containing any of the substances included in the Candidate List have six to notify ECHA, if both of the following conditions apply:
A specific procedure will be followed in order to decide whether these substances should also be included in the List of substances subject to authorization (Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation).
Smit & zoon does not use any of the substances on the SVHC list or on the Authorization list in its products.
